History in Brief
Our story begins in 1993 in the place Nifas Mewucha, in Amhara Regional State. It
was here the now MSA Business Group started business as a retailer of cereals and other food products by Mr. Mulualem Alene.Then, the business developed and transitioned to being supplier of cash cropswithin a few years. Afterwards, the import and export businesses of the companywere launched successfully.
Gradually, the company kept growing and expanding byestablishing new business units in different corners of the country, mainly in themetropolis and different towns in Amhara Regional State. Chief among thosegrowing business units and areas of investment were export, import, manufacturing,hospitality, and service sectors.
Under the manufacturing sector, the animal feed,Poly Propylene (PP), and edible oil factories have been operational so far and theconstruction of a steel factory is under way.Under the service category, transportand logistics services are being provided for different customers.
In the area of thehospitality sector, our four-star hotel is providing high quality services in the capitalcity of the country, Addis Ababa. The exponential growth, speedy expansion and diversification of the businesses necessitated the management of different functions of the company and its business units to be centralized, unified, and coordinated business model. As a result, the formation of MSA Business Group with new vision and mission was realized.
