Edible Oil Processing Factory

This factory is established in Bahir Dar town with the objective of producing high quality edible oil for local, national, and international markets. The factory has backward linkages with suppliers and farmers. It also has forward linkages with consumers across the country and export destinations.  The factory is producing high-quality soya bean, nigger seed, sunflower, and sesame seed edible oil. The by-product of this plant, expeller cake, is used for the manufacturing of animal feed products in the other MSA factory. It may also be exported to foreign market. The factory is contributing to the alleviation of the problem of shortage of edible oil supply throughout the country. It has also created job opportunities for many Ethiopians in the region and beyond.
